STRAIT
 OF GIBRALTAR-----CONNECTS MEDITERRANEAN SEA  WITH ATLANTIC OCEAN

OF Hormuz -------------- is a strait between the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf.

of Malacca is a narrow, 805 km (500 mi) stretch of water between theMalay Peninsula (Peninsular Malaysia) and the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It is named after the Malacca Sultanatethat ruled over the archipelago between 1414 and 1511.


of Magellan  is a navigable sea route immediately south of mainland South America and north ofTierra del Fuego. The waterway is the most important natural passage between the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans, but it is considered a difficult route to navigate because of the unpredictable winds and currents and the narrowness of the passage
