The Laccadive Sea or Lakshadweep Sea  is a body of water bordering India (including itsLakshadweep islands), the Maldives, and Sri Lanka. It is located to the west of Kerala. This warm sea has a stable water temperature through the year and is rich in marine life, with the Gulf of Mannar alone hosting about 3,600 species.

The Laccadive Sea lies off the southwest coast of India, north of a line extending from the southern point of Sri Lanka to the southernmost of the Maldive Islands, and east of the Maldives.  

The Laccadive Islands (Lakshadweep) is a Union Territory of India, which includes Lacadive, Minicoy and Amandivi Islands.
