WHO: ‘No harmful effect of mobile radiation has been found for any
species including humans’
Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Milind Deora, informed the Rajya Sabha during
Question Hour that “a recent research by WHO has put forward that that till date no harmful health affect of Mobile
radiation has been found for any species including humans”. But at the same time, Mr. Deora asseted that the
Government, erring on the side of caution, was adopting the strictest emission standards for mobile towers in the
country. He held that the standards being followed in India for the Mobile tower radiation is ten times more stringent
than the prevailing global standards.
